Caranddriver Says the 2025 BMW X1 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 241 Horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.[3] Standard equipment includes all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The X1 xDrive28i we tested accelerated to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. At our test track, the X1 went from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, outpacing the Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLB. The four-cylinder engine is smooth and solid, but the transmission’s calibration means the car is often in too high a gear, making the X1 feel barefoot when you need top speed.

BMW X1 MPG
According to our estimates the BMW X1 xDrive28i should return 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Fuel economy estimates are not yet available for the M35i model.
